F+L: With the band kind of having a home in Ohio, but also a second home in Texas, how has geography played into the music?

Blues rock jams flooded out of the ‘Sco and into Wilder Bowl on Thursday night as the Heartless Bastards followed Tin Armor’s opening set of Columbus-based rock and roll.

Oberlin got a double dose of the true Brooklyn scene on Wednesday at the ‘Sco. Excepter, often cited as the origin of the so-called “Brooklyn sound,” opened for Woods. The result was a drastic shift from electronic noise music to a folk and jam performance.
