Kyla van Buren ‘15 is a second year from New York who is currently floundering around. She is considering a major in either Politics or Environmental Studies, but is also passionate about a wide range of fields such as journalism, history, and music. For the past few years, Kyla has been involved in projects and studies related to sustainable and affordable development and agriculture. She is excited to work on Fearless and Loathing this year and to use investigative journalism to explore issues and topics on Oberlin’s campus. Above all, Kyla has learned the most in her life from getting to know people. She is looking forward to making F+L a place where Oberlin students can start conversations and share their ideas and perspectives.

Alicia Gaber ‘14 intends to major in English, GSFS, Sociology, or something equally useless. She hails from Houston, TX and in addition to being the copy editor of F+L she serves as Co-Chair of the Oberlin Swing Society and is the local dance coordinator for blues. She also teaches ESL to high school students from the Oberlin community. Alicia joined Fearless and Loathing at the end of her first year as copy editor, hoping to rid the world of dangling prepositions. Though grammar will always be her first and greatest love, Alicia is positively tickled to be part of such an amazing and talented group of writers, thinkers, and entrepreneurs, providing Oberlin students excellent and independent coverage.
