Pittsburgh police arrested three Oberlin students on Thursday and Friday in conjunction with the G-20 protests.  The student arrested on Thursday refused to provide identification and is still being held.  Of the two students arrested last night, one was released this morning, while the other is currently being processed.

Update: The student who was being processed has been released.

Before leaving for the G-20 protest, many students, including all three who were arrested, gave information to Meagan Day ’11, who is serving as legal support from campus.   “When arrests happened, the responsibility for tracking them here at Oberlin fell on me,” said Meagan.  She has been in hourly contact with the students in Pittsburgh and is keeping track of students shuffled between the Allegheny County Jail and SCI Penitentiary.

Students will be returning tonight and tomorrow from the protests with more information.
