Yes, a very good interview with Bill Schultz. He and I once had lunch in Washington, when he was just about to leave Amnesty International, then we lost touch. I'm glad to know that he's still in the DC area. We'll have to get together again.
I particularly like his memories of Oberlin in the 1960s, a period now frequently derided. As I've said more than once, quoting Wordsworth, "Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive/ But to be young was very heaven." --MD, '70

A lot of food for thought in your interview with Bill Schultz. The whole concept of faith is a difficult one for many UU's. His take on this is clear and convincing. As a member of the Oberlin Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, I've called this interview to the attention of others in the group and hope it generates future discussions.

Great, great interview with Bill Schulz. It is a good summary of the Oberlin tradition. Particularly liked the quote:
The faith that choosing to honor human life and to encourage human dignity–that’s a faith statement. Nobody can prove that that’s worth doing. It’s a statement that we make out of faith, and therefore it’s a religious statement. At the most fundamental level, that’s the base."
Thanks for calling this article to my attention yesterday.
